"Four Days in Lodz" - a contest announced in Internet http://575.uml.lodz.pl/ and http://www.575.lodz.pl/ - is directed to the inhabitants of Lodz and the region, who will hand over an offer - a tourist stay in Lodz.
The Department of the City Strategy is in Charge of Contest Organisation.

1. Participants shall present a concept of a 4-day stay in Lodz - divided into four stages-days.
2. The offer shall consist of a specific description of the aim of the visit and who it is addressed to (e.g. school children, students, professionally active people, the elder...) - only one such target group can be chosen.
3. Accommodation and sight-seeing spots have to be pointed out (architecture, the nature).
4. Proposed means of transportation and routes shall be specified (the vicinity of Lodz can be taken into consideration).
5. Free time organisation proposals including cultural sites, seasonal events and dining and wining shall be suggested.
6. All works of the tenderer will participate in the contest.
7. The tenderer must not be under 16.
8. Winners shall transfer proprietary rights to the offer to the contest Organiser.
9. The language of all works is Polish.

•  April 27^th - the opening of the Contest.
•  April 27^th - May 29^th - the Contest.
•  Offers shall be handed over by may 29^th 1998 at the Department of City Strategy in Lodz ul. Piotrkowska 104, or sent by mail at the address mentioned above or by E-mail: 575@uml.lodz.pl.
•  The effective date being the post date or coming in of the e-mail. All forms shall bear the name "4 days in Lodz".
•  May30^th - June 10^th - sorting out material and works sent to the members of Jury.
•  June 15^th - Jury session - choosing the winner
•  Winners will be informed of the results individually and the results will be published through Internet on The City of Lodz pages.

The Jury may award winners with:

1. First place - 1000 PLN
2. Runner up - 500 PLN
3. Second runner up - 250 PLN

All the above are gross amounts, the 10% tax shall be deducted at payment.
The awarded offers shall be presented in Internet on The City of Lodz pages.
The Jury may at its discretion decide not to award any one of the participants.

The Jury will consist of representatives of Department of City Strategy and tourist organisations.
Every work admitted to take part in the contest will be taken into consideration. The opinion of the Jury will constitute the base for the verdict.

Employees of Department of City Strategy, PTTK and persons professionally involved in tourist organisations may not take part in the Contest.
